Shipping of samples with TNT
You can use our TNT agreement and NILU's TNT customer number: 231581 when you ship your samples to NILU. NILU is paying for the shipment.
With this fast delivering express (not economy express) TNT service, you can put your foil packed samples into each zip-locked plastic bags, and then everything directly into a plastic padded envelope since the shipment takes only 1 or 2 days.
In this case you can avoid using the freezing elements since the weight will be higher and the shipment will be more expensive for us. But, remember that the filet should be kept frozen until shipment.
What you do is:
- Contact your local TNT office (TNT)http://www.tnt.com/
- Tell them by phone or e-mail that you are sending an envelope to Norway where a Norwegian company NILU is paying the shipment costs through NILUs customer number: 231581
- Make 3 copies of a 'Proforma Invoice' with the following lines (deliver these copies to TNT when they collect the parcel):
Heading: Proforma Invoice
What it is: samples for analysis and datasheet papers (Note: avoid writing 'fish')
Weight: 2-300 g ? (Note: weigh the envelope with the 3 fish filets and the 3 datasheet)
Value: put a small values (for instance 5 Euros)
- When TNT arrives your school, they will have a TNT shipment paper to be filled in by you with information about sender and destination (NILU address) etc. Please mark this paper with: Global POP, N-107062 and please mark the envelope with the same information.
